Hexcel, FIDAMC join forces to shape future composites development, application and roadmap | CompositesWorld

FIDAMC (Getafe, Spain) a research and technology center in composites manufacturing, and global composite materials producer Hexcel (Stamford, Conn., U.S.) have announced a strategic partnership to drive innovation, research and future development of advanced composite materials.

This collaboration aims to explore new applications that will enhance the performance and sustainability of composites. By combining FIDAMC’s expertise in advanced manufacturing technologies with Hexcel’s industrial leadership and market reach, the partnership expects to accelerate the transition from research to real-world applications across multiple industries, including aerospace, automotive and other industrial markets.

FIDAMC and Hexcel will be incorporating digitalization, AI and advanced manufacturing techniques to achieve these objectives, in addition reducing production costs.

Fully automated, Industry 4.0 line for hydrogen pressure vessels advances efficiency and versatility in small footprint for next-gen, sustainable composites production.

Newly designed digital twin by IMDEA and Technical University of Madrid researchers enables manufacturers to see inside composite materials as they are being produced, facilitating early detection of faults.
